Question 1

What are gym ankle straps used for?

Accepted Answer

Ankle straps attach your ankle to a cable machine so you can isolate the glutes and hips. They are ideal for cable kickbacks, standing hip abductions and glute pull-throughs, keeping constant tension on the muscle through the full range of motion.

Question 2

Will Avara ankle straps fit my ankle?

Accepted Answer

Yes. They are one size with a fully adjustable hook-and-loop closure that fits ankles from roughly 18–28 cm, so they stay snug without digging in.

Question 3

Do they dig in or rub during cable work?

Accepted Answer

No. The strap is lined with soft brushed neoprene that cushions the ankle, so you can push heavier sets without the pinching you get from thin nylon straps.

Question 4

Do they work with any cable machine?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each strap has a sturdy metal D-ring that clips onto the standard carabiner or snap hook on any cable pulley or functional trainer.

Question 5

How do I clean my ankle straps?

Accepted Answer

Wipe them with a damp cloth and let them air dry. Avoid the washing machine and direct heat to keep the neoprene and vegan-leather tab looking new.
